‘ESCAPE’, A Collaborative art performance by Munco and Afu

25 December 2010 No Comment

For thousands of years the human race has survived despite the numerous natural and man-made disasters we face so often. Catastrophes such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, storms, tidal waves, tsunamis and also the disastrous consequences of the environmental damage we impose on our planet have destroyed millions of people and homes bringing nations to its knees in an instant.

Are we strong enough to fight against nature? Or are we to learn and live in harmony with it? Can we just call it fate when we lose our loved ones, our homes and our belongings on things that could have been avoided if we were better prepared or more aware? Can we not at least reduce the risks?

Time and again we are taken by surprise, making us the victims of our own traps. ESCAPE is a conceptual art performance based on the consequences of not being prepared to natures challenges.

Time: Saturday, December 25 · 8:30pm – 9:00pm
Location: Raalhugandu Area, Male’, Maldives
